US Formally Rejects Iran's 14-Point Peace Proposal — Oil Prices Surge

🔴 BREAKING: US Formally Rejects Iran's 14-Point Peace Proposal — Oil Prices Surge

The crisis in the Middle East is entering a dangerous escalation, after the US categorically rejected the 14-point peace proposal submitted by Iran to end the war.

According to Tehran Times and Al Jazeera, Washington chose to harden its stance, bringing the nuclear issue back to the forefront. Oil prices surged, with WTI jumping over 3.5% to $104.72, while Brent rose 3% to $108.92.

**The US 'No' to Iran**

Iran reportedly proposed a two-stage negotiation process. The first stage aimed at ending the war on all fronts. If Iran's conditions were met, the second stage would begin — negotiations over the nuclear program.

Al Jazeera reports that the Trump administration rejected Tehran's terms "in their entirety." Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei insisted on five preconditions: end of hostilities on all fronts, lifting of sanctions, unfreezing of Iranian assets, compensation for damages, and recognition of Iran's sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz.

**Iran: US Cannot Achieve Goals Through Military Action**

Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi described the ceasefire as "very fragile" and said Tehran is trying to preserve it to give diplomacy a second chance. Speaking at the BRICS summit, he stated: "There is no military solution. The United States must understand this reality. They cannot achieve their goals through military actions."

**On the Strait of Hormuz**, Araghchi clarified it is not closed: "The restrictions apply only to our enemies. Ships belonging to friendly countries only need to coordinate their passage with our military forces to ensure safe transit. Many ships have already passed through with the help of our naval forces. The only solution is a full end to this aggressive war — then we will guarantee safe passage for every vessel."
