Inactives watch: Ja'Marr Chase to play; Breece Hall questionable; Emeka Egbuka out

Whom should you start? Whom should you sit? To help you set your fantasy football lineups and avoid starting an offensive player who won't be in the lineup, we'll post fantasy-relevant updates and analysis here as NFL teams release their official inactives lists. Official Sunday inactives should begin coming in approximately 90 minutes before the scheduled kickoff times: around 11:30 a.m. ET for the early games and 2:30 p.m. ET for the late-afternoon games. Refresh often for the latest information. Jeremiyah Love, RB, Cardinals (ankle): The rookie returned to practice this week and will play in Week 8. Fantasy managers should start him against a Cowboys team that allows the fifth-most rushing yards per game and eighth-most fantasy PPG to RBs. Michael Wilson, WR, Cardinals (ribs): Wilson has been practicing each day to start the week, albeit in limited fashion. He will play in Week 8. He has struggled since Marvin Harrison Jr. was traded. However, this is a week to get him into starting lineups. The Cowboys rank top 10 in most yards, touchdowns and fantasy PPG ceded to WRs. That keeps him in play as a WR2 for fantasy purposes. Lamar Jackson, QB, Ravens (ankle): The two-time MVP, who has missed the past three games, was a full participant at practice this week. He will play in Week 8. With Jackson suiting up, you play him in fantasy for what could be the highest-scoring game of the week. Dalton Kincaid, TE, Bills (chest): Kincaid is questionable headed into Week 8 against the Ravens. Coming off the bye and practicing this week, he seems more likely to play than not. He could be involved with the highest-scoring game of the week, which puts Kincaid in play as a low-end E1. If he plays, use him over Mark Andrews, Tyler Higbee and other streaming options. DJ Moore, WR, Bills (shoulder): Moore has been limited at practice but is on the right side of questionable for Week 8. If he suits up, fantasy managers should play him. He faces a Ravens defense that has allowed the third-most WR yards. When these teams matched up last season, they combined for 81 points. You want exposure to this game. Ja'Marr Chase, WR, Bengals (ankle): Chase is dealing with a minor ankle injury but will play this weekend and be a focal part of the Bengals' offensive attack. As always, if Chase plays for the Bengals, he is a must-start in fantasy football. More on Chase: Even though he isn't producing his normal output, he's as happy as he has been. The Bengals are off to a 4-2 start, and teammate Tee Higgins is having a career year. However, don't expect that disposition and Higgins' success to change how much the Bengals will try to feature their two-time All-Pro receiver. "You should be trying to get him the ball at all times," Bengals coach Zac Taylor said. "Because when the ball is in his hands, he's as dynamic as they come." -- Ben Baby George Pickens, WR, Cowboys (shoulder/hamstring): Pickens has been limited in practice to start the week and is questionable heading into Week 8. If Pickens plays, you start him in fantasy. If he sits, the biggest benefactor would likely be Jake Ferguson. Ryan Flournoy could also see a boost in opportunity and would be a deep-league flex option. Tyler Warren, TE, Colts (groin): Warren returned to practice this week in limited fashion and will play in Week 8. That means fantasy managers should feel comfortable starting him. During his worst game of the season, Warren had 9.1 fantasy points. The Colts will likely be in catch-up mode, which means having to throw. Jakobi Meyers, WR, Jaguars (hamstring, ankle): Meyers did not practice Friday after being limited to start the week. He's questionable for the weekend. If he were to sit, it would likely mean more opportunities for Brian Thomas Jr. and perhaps even Travis Hunter. Still, streaming options outside of Jacksonville are likely to be more reliable. Aaron Jones Sr., RB, Vikings (knee): Jones returned to practice Thursday and will play against the Lions in Week 8. Last week, with Jordan Mason back, Jones was on the short side of a platoon. However, he handles the team's passing downs, and the Vikings could be trailing in this one. Though Mason is the preferred option, he and Jones are in the flex range. Breece Hall, RB, Jets (quad): Hall has been limited to start the week and seems to be on the right side of questionable for Week 8. If he plays, fantasy managers should start him in a fantastic matchup against the Raiders. Las Vegas ranks in the top four in most rushing yards per game and touchdowns allowed to RBs. Overall, the Raiders have allowed the seventh-most fantasy PPG to the position. If he sits, Braelon Allen, who popped up on the injury report this week with an ankle injury but will play, would be a strong fantasy start.Players with late starts Jaylen Waddle, WR, Broncos (chest): Waddle did not practice to start the week but eventually returned in a limited fashion. He is questionable for Week 8. Even if he suits up, stay away from him this week. The Chiefs have allowed the second-fewest fantasy PPG and just one TD to WRs. Rashee Rice, WR, Chiefs (hamstring): Rice returned to practice in a limited fashion this week and will play in Week 8 against the Broncos. With Pat Surtain II set to return this week, a tough matchup becomes that much more difficult. Despite that, Rice is in play as a WR2, although fantasy managers should temper expectations. Ladd McConkey, WR, Chargers (concussion): McConkey was removed from the injury report and will play in Week 8 against the Rams. He has played only one full game this season, so it is hard to judge his production so far. He is in play as a WR3, with some volatility due to this offense. Fantasy managers can use him over Rome Odunze, KC Concepcion and the Broncos' WRs.Players on Sunday night Saquon Barkley, RB, Eagles (hamstring/back): Barkley is yet to practice after exiting early Monday night. Surprisingly, Barkley is off the injury report and will play in Week 8. There might be some added risk, but Barkley should be started in all formats.Players on Monday night Colston Loveland, TE, Bears (neck): Loveland was added to the injury report late in the week, and that is always cause for concern. Keep an eye on his status before locking in your lineup. If he suits up, fantasy managers should play him. However, with this game being on Monday night, you need to have a pivot option such as AJ Barner or Sam Roush. Jadarian Price, RB, Seahawks (chest): The rookie runner had his practice window opened up this week and has a real shot at returning this week. It's a bit of a risk because his game is on Monday night -- plus, we're not sure exactly how Seattle's workload will be distributed. Beyond that, the Bears have allowed the sixth-fewest fantasy PPG and fourth-fewest rushing YPG to RBs. I would take a "wait and see" approach, if possible. Zach Charbonnet, RB, Seahawks (knee): Charbonnet has practiced in full this week and seems likely to make his 2026 debut in Week 8. It's great to have him back; however, we do not know how much usage he will receive -- especially if Price suits up. Plus, as noted, the Bears have been tough against the run. Charbonnet averaged 11.0 fantasy PPG last season and had only 24 targets. He is more of a "safe floor" play -- and that floor is lowered in a tough matchup. He is an alternative-dependent flex option, and I'd rather play Rhamondre Stevenson, Blake Corum or Rachaad White.Ruled out before Sunday A.J. Brown, WR, Patriots (knee): Brown has been ruled out for Week 8. With him out, expect DeMario Douglas, Hunter Henry and Eli Raridon to be the top targets for Drake Maye. Efton Chism III would be a deep-league option. Some replacement options include Stefon Diggs, Omar Cooper Jr, Chris Godwin Jr, and Ja'Kobi Lane. TreVeyon Henderson, RB, Patriots (illness): Henderson is out for Week 8. Rhamondre Stevenson, who has seen the most passing-game usage and is facing Miami -- ranked among the top 10 in terms of the most catches and receiving yards allowed to RBs, as well as the most receiving touchdowns -- gets a bit of a volume boost. He in a strong RB2 play with upside. Corey Kiner becomes a deep league streaming option. RJ Harvey, RB, Broncos (knee): Harvey was added to the injury report Thursday, missed practice Friday and is out for Week 8. Jonah Coleman returned last week and was the lead back for Denver. He would be the preferred play of the Broncos' backs, as I expect him to handle the bulk of passing-down chances, and the Chiefs are tough against the run. Tyjae Spears, RB, Titans (knee): Spears did not practice to start the week and, after missing Week 7, is out for Week 8. Not that you'd start Spears in fantasy, but his absence means more targets for Tony Pollard. You're not going to get a repeat of last week from Pollard, who scored more touchdowns in that game than in his previous 10 combined, but he is a "safe floor" RB2/flex option. Carnell Tate, WR, Titans (shoulder): Tate missed practice all week and is out for Week 8. He has been the top target with at least a 25% target rate in five of his past six games. With him out, Wan'Dale Robinson becomes a volume option in deeper leagues. Still, managers should look outside of Tennessee for streaming options. Some players to consider at WR are Keenan Allen, Ja'Kobi Lane or Rashod Bateman -- or, for flex, RBs such as Rhamondre Stevenson, Blake Corum, Jonah Coleman, Rachaad White or Jordan Mason. DeVonta Smith, WR, Eagles (hamstring):  Smith has been held out of practice this week and once again is out. Eagles WR Dontayvion Wicks was also not at practice this week and will not play. Things are certainly not sunny right now in Philadelphia. Makai Lemon would be the top in-house replacement option, with Hollywood Brown and Darius Cooper purely up for consideration in the deepest of leagues. Expect Dallas Goedert to be the top target. He is in play as a TE1. Emeka Egbuka, WR, Buccaneers (concussion/foot): Egbuka shed the noncontact jersey and returned to full practice early this week. However, he did not practice Friday and is out for Week 8. We have not seen him and Baker Mayfield playing together since Week 3. With Egbuka out, Chris Godwin Jr. becomes a streaming WR3/flex option against the Falcons, who allow the eighth-most WR yards per game.
